Y.O.U.R.S. HIP HOP HEALING SUMMIT LEGENDS VS LEGACY EDITION 10/22/22 AT 5PM

On October 22,2022, Y.O.U.R.S held our Hip Hop Healing Summit Legend vs Legacy Edition at Street Corner Resources. Sister Iesha Sekou welcomed us back with open arms.

It was such an honor for our team at Y.O.U.R.S. to bring together individuals who are invested in saving our youth and improving our communities. Our panelists are not performing on our set. They are sharing real insight on what needs to happen to promote change…We salute them for taking the time to send positive messages and inspiring ideas on how hip hop legends should preserve their legacy by working together with new artists to end violence.
Our host Eric C. Sullivan is always on point and ensured that the audience know that we are talking about “Sumthinn Serious”  Our goal is to empower youth through communication, education & supportive services. Like sister Iesha Sekou states Speak Peace Forward. She recognizes that today’s youth need love & hugs now more than ever before. Al Pizarro we love what you said about having artists like Cardi B have legends like Grandmasters Podcast with Melle Mel and Grandmaster Caz headline at her shows. We also appreciate Łyrikgäng Thë Łäbël for letting us know that we have to stop blaming Drill music and what female artists need right now.#QueenLatifah. We love hearing from our founder and CEO Deacon Roland Smith about God & love. We appreciate Lazaris Thetopdon for letting us know that we need to fix the problems that we started. Natficial Fellowmen for reminding us that doesn’t have to be about divide and conquer. We also appreciate that Loaded Lux pulled up and reminded us to search within ourselves and acknowledged that there is and order and we need to get back in order.. Finally we want to thank our Street Team Leader and Youth Activist Antonio MoKowledge Carrington Bey for clarifying who is supposed to check in…

It also addresses the growing concerns about how music impacts consumers’ actions and behaviors. Suggestions from the panel are:
Artists need to promote positive images in videos and lyrics to prevent violence. Community members can hold artists financially accountable by not listening to and purchasing music that promotes violence in their songs, messages, and videos.
